Sata 5000 RP Paint Gun Review
The Sata 5000 RP is a suitable gun choice for the application of basecoats, clearcoat, and sealers and this gun does a fantastic job in doing all of these things well. The first thing you will notice is the matte finish, known as “pearlchrome” by Sata. It really does look terrific, but how does it handle paint? The spray pattern resembles something more similar to the 3000 that the Sata 4000 and is what makes this gun unique is how tightly the core delivers wet material. You will end up less dry spray around the edges at various distances because of this, and this will also result in less sand-piling. When it comes to high metallic colours, this gun lays it down effortlessly with little work required. The 5000 continues with the incredibly high build quality we’ve known to receive from Sata, this gun is durable and will likely last several years, even for a production painter.
The only downside is the price-point can be high by comparison to other mainstream paint guns, and so will and additional fluid tips or replacement parts. You can get this gun with a digital gauge built in to the body, or a screw-on digital atam, or with no regulator at all to save on cost.
