    It can be avoided by.1.dont sand thru your clear.

    2.spot prime your burn thrus.
    3.spot seal your burn thrus.
    4.use a hardener in your base coat.
    5.apply one quick coat of 100% over reduced ready to spray clear BEFORE you apply base coat.
    Now all you can do is stop and sand it out,spot prime,sand and try again or clear over it to seal it off and start over.

    1. dont sand through the clear or
    2. dust the first few coats of base on over the sand through or
    3. prime or seal the sand throughs or
    4. spray an overeduced coat of clear before basing to lock it all down or
    5. use hardener in the base so if you do have to redo something and do sand through, it’s less likey to get softened by the reducer

    Whats your point :wak The only thing I miss about solvent is the speed,I sprayed it for 23 years,as far as color match and blending waterborne is better.If he was using waterborne he wouldn’t have had all the wrinkling problems :deadhorse

    I ain’t fighting a clear coat lift, Sealer bit me is the @$$. I was able to wipe mine off with thinner. :whistle: :blush:
