i like the a.c. unit ya got n ur booth :cheers :cheers :cheers
Yeah Bondo, it’s really not doing anything to speak of anyway, I can have it on and it will still be 90 degrees in there…I only use it when I’m doing body work anyway. Might as well take it back out.
looks good. will you be spraying the entire car of just the top? i once got a job like this that i told the customer to go get a vinyl top installed on it to cover it instead
He said he wants to paint the whole car so I told him to hold off on the paint and just let me seal it until he’s ready to paint the whole car. Now, that’s going to be a bill he doesn’t want to get, this one was bad enough, haha.
That car has lots of rust and one pretty much needs to take the whole car to bare metal. Can you say $6000, I can, haha. The door don’t close right, the tailgate doesn’t latch….
He has a money pit worth $1,800 and is about to spend enough to buy one new, I don’t understand?
I also did this one as advertisement since he’s my neighbor and I can use him as reference. This will not happen again!!! By the way, how much would you guys charge for this work (still gotta block, reprime and seal it).
July 27, 2011 at 3:44 pm #31924you made out pretty good if all you did was straighten it and prime it for $1100
for the amount of hours that i can imagine that you spent repairing that roof i think you did give him a deal. did you keep your hours spent on the repair? and cost of materials spent? just add the two together and thats how you can estimate the next job you do..
Actually Smooth, the hours and materials come to about $1500, but this guy lives down the street from me, so I thought I wss cutting him a deal. My labor is cheap anyway since I do it at home and have low overhead. It took me like 30 hours to do it by the way, a couple hours every day after work. It has been extremely hot here for the last two weeks and I didn’t spend much time per day working on it since he is in no hurry. Thanks for all the comments guys they help greatly.
