The 3m Sun gun has been an excellent purchase for our shop. So far it has saved countless paintjobs & paid for itself a hundred times over. We constantly use it it to check basecoat coverage, halo’s / mottling on high metallic colors. It costs around 400-500 I beleive, however we were able to swing our rep into handing us one. If your shop is currently operating without one, you are defenitely missing out.
Another nice thing about it is you get the odd job that didn’t turn out exactly how you wanted it, you usually say something like “it won’t look that bad outside.” now you can tell for sure!
