I’ve had some Chrysler PS2 Silver – 90 line sitting on my shelf waiting for the right job. I think I finally have it and am about to give it a go. I’ve only sprayed this at the training centers before and it went well (everything always does there) so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. it has to go for tomorrow morning so I don’t wanna screw it up but am getting impatient waiting for a good job to try it on. I’m equipped with my Iwata LPH400 a pro-tek blower and my video camera, wish me luck!

yep, struggling a bit. It was all good at first, I fought with the blend but eventually worked it out. Unfortunately I tacked it a bit to early and caused a mark that I’m waiting to sand out. I guess I brought it on myself, thought it was ready. doh!

I just sanded it and recoated, I think I’m gonna survive.

I wish I could think back to my 90 line training! I think I should have applied the wetbed down before blending my last coat and life would have been much easier blending. Oh well I think it looks alright now, a bit of a learning curve. My rep told me just to spray it like diamont, I was scared on my first coats so I went a bit on the dry side and maybe generated some overspray in my blend area to help screw me up. It’ll all be in the video.(except for the part when I curse because I realized I tacked to soon)

    I agree.

It took me a bit of time to get used to, but a couple of years down the line and I wouldn’t want to go back to solvent base again.

I just sprayed a second job and things went alot smoother. I re-read the tech sheets on the stuff and put it on in 2 1/2 coats like stated. My rep told me to spray it like diamont and maybe I should have just ignored his advice. I did notice a bit more trash in the basecoat which I’ll have to work out but drying/flashing times are great.
