Figured I’d post up some pics over here of a 69 Camaro I did a good while back.
It belongs to the same guy I’m doing the ’72 Chevelle for.
He’s owned this thing for years and raced it during the late 80’s.
Here’s what I started with.

First up was tidying up the rear quarters that had been cut to clear the tires. Decided to stretch them so they’d retain the shape of a stock wheel opening.

Made a sheetmetal dash for it
Floors/tunnel were a bit hacked up

Cut the stock firewall out of it and made a new one from sheetmetal

Car had a glass decklid on it when it came to me and the owner wanted a steel one put back on. The hinge mounts were all hacked off of it way back when so I had to make a hinge and latch setup from scratch, simple round bar hinges and a fence latch for a trunk latch.

Cut the front and rear fiberglass bumpers in half and sectioned them to fit the car better. Also glassed in mounts so there wouldn’t be any visible fasteners on them.

January 5, 2010 at 8:42 am #18435And finally some paint.
Cool car,I never get tired of looking at a camaro :wak Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, In that case, here’s a few more I’ve done over the years.
This one came back about a year after I did it the first time for a hood modification after some chassis work created some clearance issues.

Did this ’67 RS for a good freind of mine. Pretty nice car with a 383, Tremec 5 spd, hydraboost/Baer brake setup.
