Figured I’d post some pics of this creampuff I finally got started on. Think bondo may have had his hands on it at some point.

This is gonna be a driver, so I won’t be getting too carried away with it. Owner thought it was a rust free creampuff.. it’s a shame really, because it is pretty decent as far as corrosion goes, but it’s been beat all to hell. Filler was over 1 1/2″ thick in some spots.

Wow, why do people load cars full of filler like that – that’s just hideous. What’s the story on that lift? Looks like a cool addition to any garage.

Sadly this one will still be loaded with filler when I’m done with it.

The lift is a mid rise unit from greg smith equipment. Nice for body work, not so great for mechanical stuff. Kinda like a king size floor jack.

He brought me a few patch panels that came wiith the car when he bought it. It really needs a drivers quarter, but I’ll probably just do a little massaging and some patch work here and there and mud it back up.

This won’t be a full tilt resto by any means, the owner just wants it shiny on the outside. He’s going through cancer treatments now and would like to get it finished fairly quickly.

I did this 69 Camaro and 70 El Camino for the same owner over the past few years.

Your guess is as good as mine. Really depends on how much free time I can find to get it done. Hope to get some metal repair done this weekend.

:lol1 Probably not at my labor rates. :rofl

The full quarters are kinda pricey IMO. Over $500 for that quarter w/shipping.

Gonna just use the patch panels he already has.

Me too. The car is pretty decent as far as rust goes. I did put a LH trunk floor in this same car a few years ago when the guy first bought it, the rest of the floors looked really good.
