Have you tried spatter painting? Turn your pressure down and let the paint spit out. It could make for some cool effects too.

in the lacquer days 👿 they used to do cobbwebbing. This panel was done with unreduced base coat in a gravity feed gun turned down to about 1-2psi

Not yet, the next thing i’m gonna try is a granite. Just playing around, I’ll try some splattering. Have an airbrush on order now too.

here is some refrence for you for the granite.

turn the psi way down. mix 3 shades of grey sort of close in color, spatter them on. then mix some intercoat clear with hok sparkle white pearl and do the same. the bc1190 cut down with some bc100 may work as well but have not tried it. i know you have that right on your rack so it would be easier for you. the key to make it believeable is your color choices on the grey and getting the pearl spattered on right. you should get an actual piece of granite for a sample.

    That looks awesome Jim. Thanks!

Carizzma colors are a lot easier for me to get, do you know much about that line? Using diamont for what I can is easier but I’d like to bring in carizzma eventually. For now I was thinking of just grabbing a few of the common one (if theres such a thing). I do need to come up with a funky red for the top of a boat, any thoughts on that?
