December 29, 2010 at 3:40 am #26545He was doing the old classic Gene Winfield kustom painting trick of doing a bottom color fading into the top color, cool trick used on the old leadsleds back in the day.I think he had to match a fade job that had a repair done to it.
December 29, 2010 at 4:03 am #26547yeah. it was damage on that side, and i had to not only match the color but also match the fade. i got some pics of the finish product i’ll post later. it turned out better than i thought.

Thanks. That is what I was thinking. Saw that he blended the colour out from the front, and was trying to fade it from bottom to top.
lild, if you don’t mind me asking, how did they calculate the refinish time to “custom match” that paint? I would hope you got paid a lot better than standard book time.
Looks like a good video. I look forward to some final pics.
December 29, 2010 at 8:53 am #26557Good vids Lild, they were fun to watch. That crackberry does a darn good job :clappy
December 29, 2010 at 5:44 pm #26562Gerson developed the cup. Norton and Carbo buy them from Gerson and resell under their name. Price per cup the norton/gerson are cheaper. $80 list price sounds about right. Remember 3M list price is up there over $100 something.
For the same money as the 3M you can get the Sata RPS cups which beat all of them.
December 29, 2010 at 5:46 pm #26563Cool vids Lild. That truck didn’t look fun at all, but looks like you did a nice job on it. :cheers
