Well I started the day off taking the doors apart on the 2500 (for blending). Then I finished getting the front end together. This is the first GM that I have had the front completely apart on. It didn’t line up worth $hit, these things just have too much adjustment. After moving the rad support over I was able to get it all lined up well. The painter got it prepped and was spraying the clear when I left…

Then I did a tear down on a 2005 Trailblazer. Needs a hood, fender and possibly the door (looks like the crash beam is bent).

    fitting the new fender

RCMP truck, torn down. Needs front bumper, grille, condenser, rad etc. The rear needs a bumper and I did a small repair on the box

Bondos no the only one with Deer hits. I think we’ll bake this for a while and have Deer jerky in the morning. :rofl It came in assigned to us. Don’t know when we will get approval or parts, so it can sit for now.

looks like you got some nice jobs going there. even with all the adjustment in those gm’s they still have to be better than working on any chrysler product. 😉
Now if you were bondo you would have mudded up the hood, door and fender on that trialblazer :rofl

must be heaven working there compared to the last place, and a nice natural lighted shop. gmc looks like its coming along well and the other jobs look like a lot of fun to work on.

Yeah, the jobs aren’t too bad. I haven’t worked on a lot of GMs, so I am still figuring out how they’re all put together and my 13mm socket is getting quite the work out.

The natural light is nice! :rock

youll love the welded hinges more than anything 😛 other then that theyre actually pretty easy to work on and the frames are a bit softer

We are using the Wedge Clamp system (like Stone). We use the old grid for holding down the tower. Honestly, I have never seen a grid like that before and can only guess what the old system was like. Would it have been an old Guy Chart floor system??? I dunno, I’m probably young enough to be your Great grandson Bondo, your expertise on antiquated equipment might be useful :rofl

Looks like the old Blackhawk Korek (korak) system,I’m showing my age but I have worked on 6 different ones over the years, more versatile than any other floor system.

Found a training video for it on ebay, unfortunately I don’t have a BetaMax player… :rofl

Youtube has a few videos, looks like a neat system. Also explains why the one bay has a big rectangle in the centre (where the lift portion was).
