I have a 06 Cadillac STS that was recently painted BLACK. They did a really poor job and back in the day I used to paint cars so I know. But anyways my passenger door was wavy and they did a poor job on the body work. I fixed the door and resprayed the door with the same paint as they did in base coat/ clear coat urethane paint. But in the sun I can tell that my door looks more darker and richer looking and it’s driving me nuts. I buffed and polished the whole car and it looks better but I can still tell.
I plan on repainting the door but blending it into the rear door and front fender but I’ve never done it before. Can you tell me how?
Also my rear bumper was blended by the painters, and they only clear coated half of it. I was able to wetsand and buff out blend and it looks perfect. Can I do the same with the door or do I need to clear all three panels.
Thanks for your help!

Funny i have a brownish ass end on my 04 cts  No one but myself and every body shop guy in traffic can tell lol and i knew better than just gaggin it without checkin color first but oh well im not resprayin it. I just mixed the standard in spies and blasted figuring it would be good :wak
I think it’s probably because I painted it and I know it was painted. If you ask the average person and don’t tell them that it was painted then they can’t tell, but I swear I can tell that it looks darker or even newer looking even though the paint is probably a couple weeks newer than the rest of the car.
I think I’ll just blend it now that I have a better idea of how to do it.
Thanks for everyones input.
