these questions are for anyone useing ppg’s enviro base. any other waterborne basecoats are nothing like ppg’s so please if you don’t use ppg’s please don’t input about another brand. (i know it sounds snoty, but i just specifics on this brand as i’m useing it.)

i’ve been useing for a while now, and really like it aside a few problems. as i found out it’s my fault for most of my problems. now i know most of europe has used it for 5 yrs, and some folks in ca. have been for the last 2 yrs.
the first thing i like to know is this. i’m useing their new enviro sealer, mostly g5. and the problem i’m comeing across is that the colors seem to come out too light. as if it’s bleeding through, and useing the sun gun it looks colored. i’m putting on at min. 4 coats. what am i doing wrong? i’ve found out 2 things. we use gray primer a shade lighter than the g5 color, and the base will cover on the sealer faster than the primer, and the second, if just go over lets say an aftermarket bumper already primed black, it covers better that way and i get a better match than if i seal it like ppg requires. so any ideals would be great.
now the second question. have you guys found any short cuts to it? any tips for certain colors, and how wide of a fan spray are you useing? i’m sorry i know it seems so newbiesh. but i was train by one guy, and told something different by another. for exp. the trainer told us with the sata 3000 wb gun, to use a psi at 25, and control coat at 15-17. my regional rep, tells me 29 at 19 repsectively. what do you find best? i’m also haveing problems with motling. where am i going wrong with this?

    thankyou
