Hi guys,I was just wondering if any of you guys have ever used a body
straightener such as the one pictured below,I purchased one a few months
back but don’t quite know how to set it up,figured buy it first then
figure it out later haha, I know its a stupid approach but O well,
anyways what are the jack stands for I know it has pinch weld clamps
that slide on the tube,is that were the stop piece that is at the end of
the body straightener push against the bar for resistance when doing a
pull? I am not sure id figure the stands would slip right off If doing
it that way,but unsure and its why im seeking help from the best. Thanks

you think its a good Idea to use the stand combo to pry the straightener up against, when doing the pull? Thanks
same here thats what i started with, just a bigger badder version, the stands hold the car up so it doesnt lose balance, but id recommend you chain the machine to the car going in the opposite direction of your pull. and then to anchor both the car and the machine to the floor. makes a really solid pull. the anchoring points on the car will be damaged but thats what you get with that machine.
Yeah this is the project
I think it would work great on that repair … like my old pull dozer it is , but with pinch clamps. looks like a nice little unite for small jobs. in fact I could use one in my lower bay for when I can’t get on the pull floor. :pcorn:
Is that a grand cherokee with a trailer hitch hit? Typical short rails with kinks at wheel arch? If so its gonna take about 4-5000 psi rearward and push upwards at the same time and some windows in the floor to vibrate them rails in order to fix it correctly. Not sure if that puller is gonna do it.
