What is the average fee to paint new stuff like door handles, trim pieces, mirrors, mudflaps and the like?
well it varies some but the estimating system put’s door handles and mirrors at .4
just did 2 door handles and a mirror by the book and it was a no profit deal
.4+.4+.4=1.2×110 .. $132.00 includes material  :S
I think it should be more and could easily get it
February 17, 2010 at 4:32 pm #19613That’s only 45 a piece. A dealership told a friend it was 100 to do a white door handle. I usually charge 60-80. They are willing to pay the extra because I can do it in a day or so and most bodyshops will take a couple of weeks. I worked out a barter to have my wifes fuel system flushed for a couple of trims.
Throw the book out.
Thank you Mr. Stone

February 19, 2010 at 6:09 am #19642$75/hr….. and I usually end up billing out for about 1/2 of my time spent….
