Coast Airbrush shows them for sale on their site? Not sure myself though.

November 8, 2011 at 2:20 am #34082Hello “XCHASER”
Thank you for your visit and interest in Anest Iwata.
The LVX is a very good choice as a dedicated Basecoat gun.
The main difference between the W400LV & the WS400 is the WS has a larger material out put requires about 3 CFM more and a 9 PSI higher in let pressure – the WS400 is neigther HVLP or COMPLIANT.
Both guns spray just great. If I’m reading you correctly – the W400LV would be the right choice.
If you could demo the guns side by side the choice would be easier.
Please keep me abreast as to what you deside.
Cheers,
“HUB”Hub
Air AuthorityI would like to know if this gun(WS 400) is compliant or not. This is a quote from HUB of the iwata forum
November 8, 2011 at 9:48 am #34084Who cares if it is compliant or not,if you can get it use it :stoned
November 10, 2011 at 4:13 am #34098Man I sure loverd that supernova but our supplier told me today that my cost on one is 602.00 👿 The 4000 Rp non digital was 525.00? So I might just go the sata route. Who would of thought sata would be cheaper :wak
November 10, 2011 at 4:22 am #34099No kidding UPP,Iwata is more money than a sata in my area also, kinda funny that everyone says Iwata is cheaper :lol1 :lol1 You can’t go wrong with a sata in my book I think they are made tougher also.Just throwing this out there but have you tried a tekna with a 7e7 cap?I have been very impressed with mine for base,it also does a good job with clear, but it is not as fast as an rp.

You know, I have thought about that tekna. I just kinda have a bad taste in my mouth from a CVI I bought a few years ago. That was the biggest waste of money. I bought it after it had so many rave reviews on an other forum. The same one that say there is nothing better than a PLUS GUN! That quick clean does look sweet though.
November 10, 2011 at 4:54 am #34102Yes I remember all that BS,I demoed a cvi for 2 weeks for a favor to my jobber,I told him and that forum that the cvi was a turd, boy did they get defensive :rofl :rofl There are 3 of us on this forum that use a Tekna everyday with no issues,if you don’t like it for clear it will make a fantastic base gun for autobase plus,I would put money on it that it will spray HS+ effortlessly.
November 10, 2011 at 5:32 am #34104I feel the same way about the CVI. The Tekna is good for clear but I would pick the Iwata or Sata above it. If you really like the Supernova I wouldn’t let under a hundred bucks sway you.
Do you need a cup with the Nova Underpaid? If not you can get it for $535 here

Yeah, I’ve ordered from Coast, like every month. Dave Monnig the owner is a super guy, totally into the paint scene and taking care of his customers. Visiting the store he treats everyone like he knows them. You should have no reservations dealing with him.
