    Wow, that does sound a bit extreme. So many ways out their to do the same thing! :lol1

    Very good thread. I’d be rather concerned with not having enough clear; what if the panel needs to be
    sanded and polished? And with just one coat, that would be very sketchy. Andy, you bring up a good point
    about sanding the panel down with 1200. I use P800 myself which removes a lot of OE clear.

    Yes Han. I’m talking about 1200 on a sander, so it soon takes the OE clear down too. A little too much at times with some Jap and Italian cars that use the bare minimum! :blush:
