looks really good, your not doing this full time?
No, well, not yet anyway.

Just been playing around in my shop at home for the past several years.

I recently accepted a job offer to work at a resto shop. Should start there in a few weeks assuming my request for an early release from my paper mill job comes through. They’re shutting down the mill I’ve worked at for the past 15 years in May. I figured I’d give the bodyshop business a try and see what happens.
Well congratulations. I think that will be the right fit for you.

Very nice job! Did you use the Iwata?

You should try R-M Diamont, the coverage and color match is great.

I still cant get over how nice your booth is! Sweet set up! Do you have any kind of intake or positive pressure on it?

    March 27, 2010 at 6:15 am #20414

I set it up as a semi-downdraft so I could use a roll up entry door vs. swing outs. I’ve got a plenumn box on the top of the booth that pre-filters the air before it gets to the filters in the ceiling.

I see! If body and paint work are not your full time job…how the heck did you know how to set such a pro type booth? You definatly have some fab skills and killer body and paint skills 😉

As for the booth design I just looked at alot of the commercial booths that were available and set it up like one of those. I went back and forth on whether or not to just buy one or build one. Thought I could build one cheaper while being able to keep my shop space more usable so that’s the route I went. Thanks for the compliment.
