For anyone working in a BMW certified shop and using Color system, They have dropped the requirement to use the Color system branded Axalta and are switching that line to Standox Stando blue. However you no longer have to purchase their branded product.
Approved aftermarket lines are as followed:
    Glasurit
    Spies Hecker
    Standox

Both Standox and Spies are a Axalta product So not really sure what you mean.

BMW certified shops had to use “BMW” paint for their repairs. The certified BMW paint was just Spies with a BMW label on it.

Interesting I didint realise this is how it worked. So really for most shops there paint will not change, only the labels will.
