I would like to say you will probably be fine. 500 degrees is probably pushing it a little far though. Is this some high performance application that is going to he seeing this much heat?

Your best bet is to contact Akzo and find out. I would also be concerned about how the base and undercoats will react to the high temp and rapid repeated heating/cooling cycles.

In high temp areas I like POR15 clear. Funny thing though once you open the can and close it, it is so hard to reopen.

I think your clear will turn out to yellow a lot and the base will become darker ( don´t know if that is the correct way to say it ) , so even if you do a color match on the car it will look a lot different later on.
We powdercoat these kind of things wich is much more durable and temperature resistand.
