Do you guys have any tricks on how to remove bumpers quickly? I was working on a new Malibu and the only way to get it off is to get a honking long extension to remove the bolts from underneath. Also, can you recommend a combination set of fasteners?

KentAnonymousAugust 18, 2009 at 3:05 am #15395I’m afraid that’s just the GM way, 100 bolts to keep the bumpers on. Usually a handfull of 10 mm bolts & a few push clips.What bumper are you taking off, front or rear?
August 18, 2009 at 3:59 am #15399As a mobile painter I don’t fully remove the bumper but want to be able to loosen it enough to scuff the normally inaccessible areas. From what I have seen, the Jeeps are hard too. They all seem to have rivets in the wheel wells holding it together.
