I have recently painted a truck bed that continually wrinkles each time the clear is applied. Although the tech will not own up to it I think he initially painted it with single stage urethane with no hardener before clearing. Is there anything I can do short of completely stripping the bed?
July 30, 2014 at 8:54 pm #47067well if you think there is no hardener in the ss urethane im going ta say you must strip ….even if you did manage ta get over it bad things will happen on down the road just my opinion
July 30, 2014 at 8:58 pm #47068you might take some lauqer thinner an see if you can wash it off who knows you just might get lucky…..still sounds like a mess though :chair

I believe before I begin to strip I will try to flatten out with 220 wet sandpaper. If I can accomplish that I am going to try and apply several coats of water based primer to act as a blocker. Worth a shop anyway.
