I cant figure out where the code for the cladding is on a 98 pontiac montana. The paint code is wa200c, but when I look up the formula on our computer its not giving the option for 2 tone or cladding. where can I get the code for the cladding?!? Ive already called the dealership with the vin and got nothing from them.:compsmash

look for a number that begins with the letter L which would stand for lower on a gm identification plate. wa or U is upper body

Is it that Matte Dark Grey Metallic? You might not be able to get a formula for it…at one shop we got the best matches for those with the SEM aerosol trim paints. Colour was good and the matte finish matched well too.

Do you have a chip book you can use to match up the trim colour?

if its the color bens talking about i might still have it laying around on the shelf, maybe the code is written on it. but i remember having that same problem and it only came up as a formula under dupont vinyl paint

it is that dark grey metallic, with a semigloss finish. I know U is upper and L is lower on the code. I may have located the code in the domestic color chip book for GM in the trim color for that year, wont know till tomorrow, my fingers are crossed, hopefully I dont have to bench mix something. worse comes to worse I’ll use the color max chips, find something close, and tint it around.
