Clausen ‘All-U-Need’ sealer/poly

Hey all,
Our local bodyshop supplier has just started selling the ‘All-U-Need’ high build one step poly. made by US company ‘Clausen’. Apparently it’s waterproof, easy to sand and can build up to 8-12mm without movement after curing. I bought a can to try out.
Do any of you use it? If so, any tricks to applying it and/or getting the best out of it?

Simeits just polyester primer so treat it no different than any other poly. i think they say you can paint right on it but so do all the other companies. i wouldnt base on it. polyesters you should at a minimum put a sealer over before base.
Do modern polyesters pull in moisture still when curing ? Do they need baking as soon as sprayed to stop this happening ? Not used it in years so not clued up on it but could see its benefits on some jobs !
hmmm, are you sure your not confusing that with polyurethanes? polyurethanes/urethanes do as they cure. as far as i know polyesters do not. neither one requires baking.
Not sure if im honest,it was only used if the repair was an awkward shape or hard repair and gave an extra skim kind of thing but i have not used it since around 1992 -1994 so i have no real knowledge of polyester and mainly i can remember that it was no good in cold damp environment as it supposidly drew moisture as it cured so it was allways baked after application in the booth but i work in a cold damp shop with little heat and makeshift booth so i could only use an infra red lamp to bake it ?
Thanks,carl.yeah that doesnt sound right at all for a polyester. that would mean the same thing would apply to bodyfillers, gelcoat, laminating resin and everything else. MOST poly primers arent for bare metal anyway even though you can do it. most manufactures want it over something like epoxy. there are exceptions though like the clausen stuff.
i have never tried waterbase over a polyprimer
But in the past many years ago when i have tried solvent paint over any areas spot primed with a poly primer ot has always ringed / mapped.
As mentioned above it would require sealing, at least when using solvent base coat, water is non aggressive so it may sit on it all right.
