I am trying to locate the code for a Lamborghini color. All I know for sure is that “flip flop” is in the tile. It has a blue to green camelion affect. Can anyone tell me where or how to locate the code

Not sure where the code is, but can you actually get the formula for a Lambo colour?

This is it exactly. It was on the can I originally was given as 0047. My UTEC system does not show a formula for this code but at least now I can get it elsewhere. thanks

Cool. PPG usually seems to be good at having formulas for less common stuff!

If you have a U-tech bench already call your supplier,I am sure lesonal will have a formula for it.

you might only be able to get it in sikkens (through the akzo line). Even in the sikkens book it doesn’t list a colormap code for it. It might involve one of sikkens’ special effect colors. I am not sure if those special effect colors are available in lesonal. If it does, it could get pricey. Judging by the ppg code..it may not have those special colors though. I would rather get a color like that in sikkens than lessonal, personally..if you are going to stay with akzo.

I did check Azko online and the color is not listed for any of their paint lines. Just as you said earlier may have to switch brands for this job.
Atleast you werent skunked on this one.

When I’m back to work tomorrow just for kicks I will look up the formula. If there is a SEC toner needed my program will show me which one or tell me to contact the help desk.Nothing wrong with lesonal sb they have variants just like Autobase plus and good color match but it might take an extra coat for coverage. If you called the colorlab they would make you a formula for U-tech polybase, they have done it for me many times. The online formula lookup doesn’t work half the time, the one at the shop works better for me.

ya the online PPG one dont work that great either I just did a general search for the blue color group for lambo and it only came back with 6 or 7 colors then looked up all colors for lambo used since 1999 and it came back with like 34 colors on Azko Qnet site.

    one other question for jason

How come the Azko online doesent show the manufacture codes only the name of the color and the Azko code?
I suppose the peeps really using the stuff have a far more advanced program at the shop .

I can’t even pull that code in the computer at the shop…although jayson might have a newer update than I. Could be that? But like he said above…call the lab and they can find it and give you a formula. I’ve done it plenty of times also.

As far as the online look up….no idea why it doesn’t work half the time. Seems as if it is only good for the newer cars.

There must be something special about this color?I could not find it in the computer nor my suppliers,I also checked the last 10 years worth of my yearly color books in the lambo section. The closest i found was 0046 or 0048 but no 0047 :compsmash Maybe this color does not exist?
