Would like to hear some opinions if you use or have used either of those 2 units, Im really thinking of ordering the Maxident over the weekend, I do a lot of collision repair and think it would be nice to have and its really not that expensive

I’ve used the panel beater quite a bit. Probably one of my favorite tools. It can make the metal work really quick and allows you more control than a uni-spotter for the finer working/finishing of the metal.

Only thing I don’t like is that the panel beater isn’t very good for real hard/heavy repairs, where a uni-spotter/slide hammer would be better suited.

Not familiar with Maxident, but curious to hear about it.

check out the compuspot 160 from AMH.. the energized slidehammer is amazingly fast.

I installed one in a large shop a few months ago and the stud gun hasn’t been out of the tool box since. The shop says the dent pulling time has been cut to 1/4 of the time. also the star on the end of the slide hammer is good for a few hundred welds, and they cost $1 or so to replace.
