    hi i just picked up a DeVilbiss FLG-654
    im wondering if this compressor will do good for the gun?
    painting a whole car

    That compressor is only good for mini guns.
    Since you plan to do a whole car, you should get a 5 HP, something around 12-15cfm.

    i was thinking of this puma compressor

    60 ga l12.9 CFM @ 40 PSI; 11.4 CFM @ 90 psi

    According to devilbss your gun uses about 10 cfm.
    I’d get 80 gallon so the compressor doesn’t run out of air often.
    If you decided to get that compressor, get a good filter setup.

    ps: can you finda decent used compressor, maybe in craigslist?
    Eaton, devilbiss, Ingersol Rand…

    horse power is as important as tank size, with HVLP ull need at least 5 hp, but 7.5 works better. sounds kind of backwards but the best guns and materials need lots of air to do the job rite and look good

    i just picked up a devilbiss 60gal 6 hp air compressor for 200$ wow got lucky on craigslist
