Just wondering what you use for door skins.

The old door skin hammer and soft block/dolley works ok. But any of you guys have any other tools/methods? I have used a special air hammer that has a soft base and a hammer. It is ok, but the hammer part doesn’t last all that long. I have seen a demo on an Asrto Pneumatic tool that basically slides along the edge folding it over in 1 step.

What have you guys used and what have you liked?

I’m still bodywork poor Ben, so all I use now is a hammer and dolly.

Hammer and dolly, though I only do a door skin once in a blue moon being just a hobbyist. I have custom made a hammer with a polished face for just this task. Most of the cars I work on are made out of thicker stuff than modern cars and I’m not sure how I’d get it done without the use of force.

I saw a video with that fancy pants door skinner tool, and I shorted out my keyboard with a puddle of drool. I’ve never done a door skin, but I’m a pretty hardcore tool junkie, and I’d probably buy one if I had a single skin to do :wak
