    Exactly Ryan.

It must be a product thing as I was plenty happy before the new tinters came out. After that I just couldn’t get it to work as well as I would have liked.

It must have had something to do with the much higher pigment ratio, which is probably why I could even it out with a quick light coat, but the Sata does it in one with no messing 🙂

Oh I realize Andy is the authority on this stuff. I just find silver problems interesting and still sort of confusing to me. I know a lot of people who use guns that are 15 years old and often not even gravity feed and they have no problems with the silver or gold. But I see it all the time. One of my customers got their Hyundai Genesis from the dealership a few years ago and the hood and trunk got messed up.

Here is the secret 😉 Good spraygun and technique, proper speed of reducer for base, slower is always better. When it comes to drop coat some manufacturers recommend one and others do not due to adhesion problems. If you rush and clear to soon the clear can cause some mottling with some systems, proper flash is mandatory.

This right here will fix most issues. Jayson pretty much nailed it here.

The guy i was working with recently changed from sata 3000s with 1.3 tips to 1.2s using debeer waterbase. he was having trouble with a ford galaxy silver one day then tried it with the 1.2 and hasn’t looked back since.
