Afternoon everyone,
Im new to this site although I have looked aver it a few times so hello.
I was wandering if anyone could help me, I have found myself in a situation where i can not find a job in the bodyrepair industry!!! I went to college for 3 years and have obtained the relvant qualifications, however, all job postings require experience. I have applied for jobs and received no response, I have even asked bodyshops if i can do a couple of days a week on a voluntery basis but to no prevail.
I am so keen to get into this industry and line of work that it is driving me mental.
Does anyone have any ideas on how i can improve my chances of getting into the industry??? I have been in full time employment since leaving school (12 years ago).
Any information from anyone would be a huge help
Thanks

Did that for a week, then started off as a helper in the bodyshop. Now three years later I am the paint shop manager. Jobs are out their, but the trick is to get your foot in the door. Even if you were told no, check back in from time to time. If they see that your serious you might get that chance. Don’t be offended if they offer you a job cleaning cars. What an employer really wants to see is your work ethic.
