:lol1 Yep, no runs on the tins. About 5-6 small specks of dust that I nibbed and buffed but that’s about it.
I still have the front rims and rear wheel centers left to do so there’s still a chance to hang a few.
That free kit of red Omni bc/cc that the tractor owner won didn’t spray to bad IMO. :pcorn:
September 21, 2009 at 4:31 am #16054WooHoo,,, I’m done :exci

September 21, 2009 at 4:39 am #16055i think ya just raised the bar more than a few notches on tractor restos :rofl :rofl :rofl looks nice :cheers
September 21, 2009 at 4:46 am #16056Glad to hear someone thinks it’s as ridiculous as I do. :rofl
Way too over the top IMO for a tractor. The only other ones I’ve ever sprayed I just painted the crap assembled the best I could, if I miss a spot because the paint gun wouldn’t reach it so be it,, it’s just a tractor.
Think that’s why I was frustrated with the guy every time he unbolted a part and blasted it. :wak
He’s got all new gauges, seat cushion, steering wheel, emblems, decals,,,, you name it going back on the thing.
I’ll try and get a pic of it all back together whenever that happens.
September 21, 2009 at 4:48 am #16057ta be honest i really want ta see it all tagether kinda like a streetrod of massys :lol1
September 21, 2009 at 4:53 am #16058And to think there’s parts I sprayed that aren’t in this thread,,, man that thing ate some paint.
Did the rims in 15410,, think I like that stuff better than the Omni.
September 21, 2009 at 5:39 am #16063what ya gonna tell the guy when that omni starts falling off like its kirker :lol1
Those wheels look like a bitch with all those changes in distance from the gun. Did you just dial your pattern down to accomodate it or dial fluid back? I dial fluid back or speed up on surfaces like that. I hate changing my pattern b/c then I have to change my fluid and my air.

he just switched ta the small roller :lol1September 21, 2009 at 11:19 am #16066:lol1
Choked the fluid down a pinch but left the fan wide open, a narrow fan of stuff like that is just asking for runs IMO.
I think what your seeing is more so the severe pitting in the wheels vs. any sort of dry spray, etc.
1 round of high build and a pass with 400 then sealer and bc/cc was as far as I was gonna take those things. Sure wasn’t gonna break out any glaze or poly primer on ’em. :rofl
I’m surprised the turned out as good as they did. Still way too shiny for a tractor though.
September 21, 2009 at 3:47 pm #16067when you gonna wet sand and buff it. the guy said he wants that mirror like finish
