    Nice.

Can’t quite see from the photo but looks like you mask up the wheel/tyre separately? I’ve seen a few others do similar but always found that you can get a bit of dirt blow back from under the guard. So I backmask around under the lip of the guard, tuck it in and extend down over the wheel.

Hey yeh I normally do the same as u but on this job I had to paint right under the lip of the wing as the tyre rubbed the paint off

Your work looks nice and clean mate, what paint and clear do you use ? Do you thin the clear at all ? Be nice to paint in a propper booth tho as we have a self made with extractor fan but we have extended the back of workshop by about 1.5 large booths so when done it will be better and cleaner hopefully.

Hey mate thanks, the I can’t go any bigger then the fiat van if so the fillet work is painted in the work shop and left over night, I’m using rm diamont solvent base, and same with the clear, i got a devilbiss pro lite. no I don’t thin it down or change it, that’s how it comes out the gun. I do a gripper coat or you may say a medium coat, left to flash off and then a full wet coat, if I have to flat and go for a glass finish I may put another medium coat to help give me something to work with on he polisher, it’s not a nice booth I put pics up at Xmas for you guys to see and I send two weeks fixing and rebuilding it ha ha.
What paint you using mate and what set up do you have.

Hi bud,we use mipa solvent base which is good paint but not brilliant with matching some colours.i use a sata 3000 rp and just bought a new iwata supernova to clear and must admit im prefering the iwata.we use a clear made by sprint not sure if you have heard of it but its not bad, were refurbing our self made booth soon and it needs it as its been there for 8 years.were also extending the back of the shop so it will be a cleaner and brighter place to paint.

Hey mate that’s sounds good ill have to put some pictures of the new set up and booth, with the problems with the solvent is it blends or colour matching. Do you apply a wet bed or you may allot a base fix
