Anyone got any experience with the FC720 Finish 1 clear (SW product). I’m getting ready for getting some colour on my project and have ditched the UPol clear as the only one my supplier can get is a spot clear and I need something to do a complete repaint.

It’s one of the best clears I’ve ever used at any price.

Thanks Bondo, I’m almost ready to shoot my Volvo 242 project. I still have some detailing to do, but I’m doing a complete colour change and I’m hoping to get that done next week.

The FC720 and 710 is really good stuff. But I wouldn’t touch any of their other clears though…
And other than their solvents I’m not sure I’d use anything else in the finish 1 line.

I’m also in Canada, where do you get those clears?

I looked everywhere before I decided to get Nason clear.

Napa stores in Canada that carry paint and bodyshop supply
are called CMAX, and the local CMAX carries only Dupont stuff.
I’m curious to see where Canuck found that clear.

I tried the fc740 and not really happy with it..Went to transtar
7311…I had no idea that fc720 existed …just called Sherman
Williams and was told the fc720 is only $52/gal..hardener another
$19/qt…Kinda hard to beat that price..Seeing the transtar is a bit
    pricy for me…$100 plus/gal…

The 7311 is a very good allover clear. But not good for collision work; the amber
cast is a bit too much.

    Transtar 7311:
