IM NEW TO THIS AND HAVE BEEN VISITING THIS SITE FOR A YEAR NOW THIS SITE IS COOL I HAVE LEARNED ALOT, FROM ALL MEMBERS WHO POST PROBLEMS AND ANSWERS. THANK YOU!
I HAVE A QUESTION DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO REPAIR THE COATED WHEEL WHICH HAVE BEEN CNC’D WITH LINES UNDERNEATH CLEARCOAT OR POWDERCOAT. MOSTLY USED BY MERCEDESNovember 16, 2012 at 4:20 pm #39256If they are corroded they have to be CNC’d. There are wheel resto services nationwide. If not corroded, strip the clear, polish flawlessly and reclear. If the virgin, freshly machined appearance is not restored, they will not look like new.
November 17, 2012 at 6:14 pm #39275You can try the service of a blasting company that uses “baking soda blasting” for about $25.00 per wheel, that what it cost in my area, it is good stuff, it will leave the wheel like new, then u can finish it.

November 17, 2012 at 7:14 pm #39282I agree, is dull but not grainy, it will give u the same result as sanding, then u can spray finish it. if ur looking for polished finish ur right Scott.
