Got a crazy question, what is your favorite footwear in he shop. I normally wear red back boots, slip ons but it’s getting old replacing them every six months. The thinner and all the overspray kills them, that and the fact they seem to absorb any water on the floor kinda sucks. But as far as something that don’t kill your knees from being on your feet all day I haven’t found any better. Any ideas on protecting them from overspray and thinner, the wet feet thing I can deal with, kinda accept it from washing cars and working in a shop with wet floors allday.

Steel toe work boots are my favourite, great leg and back support, keeps my feet warm and dry and protected incase something falls on them. Everyone at my shop has to wear them.

if your getting 6 months out of your footwear you are doing really good.

I wear runners(new balance adidas etc) or low cut nylon hikers.Steel toes are uncomfortable and not a fan of the callous on my big toe :p I usually get 2-3 months out of a pair and the grips are worn right off,I put on a lot of miles during the day.

I think that you might be right, I think that I might expect a little to much from my boots.

I wear steel toe work boots. Usually spend the $$$ to get good ones. The pair I have now are at least 18 months old, very light and comfortable. The materials are chemical resistant and work great. More comfortable than most of my other foorwear. These are starting to wear out and I’ll probably replace in the next 6 months or so. This pair was probably about $275, but worth every cent.

Any particular brand? I gotta get a new pair this week, with the recent snow we have had I have found my feet to be wet and cold more than I like.

CAT makes good boots. You get what you pay for when it comes to a good work boot.

I have been wearing Snap-on’s Daytona’s boots for a long time now

When i initially looked at them, i thought wow they are a bit expensive

But i was desperate for a new boots so i bought a pair

Used nothing but since then, they last me approx 2 years on my third set now.

They are comfy have a steel toe and you do not feel like you are wearing boots.

If they are not tied to tightly on the last couple of eyelets you can easily slip them of and on without undoing the lace’s

Witch is a godsend when painting if you are constantly taking of and putting on your paint suit.
