Ford 500 window mouldings

Anyone have any tips at how to pulling the trim off on the rear quarter glass on a 2005 Taurus/500? According to the bodyguys the clips break on them everytime and I guess you cant buy the clips without the moulding. And its 400.00 per side. Had to tape one up last week, and their is no good way to tape it up and have it still look good. Thanks

I’ve never.. can you lift the edge and put a wire under the trim edge and paint around? ? See if you can get the parts salvage.. they get it off or they don’t get paid.. Is there a bar around here?
sorry i don’t have helpful input but you are correct, they are 400ish list price a side and the clips are not sold seperate. the last one i did, i painted both quarters and replaced both mouldings.
