I have been using BASF Diamont for 8 Yrs. now, and have felt really confident with repairs and results…..Then…in comes the WATER!

On Monday we just switched to Glasurit 90 Line. The Glasurit Line has alot of great products, and I think I am going to have great results…But there is a learning curve. I am having troubles with drop coats/effect coats. I feel like it is completely wrong to be doing this, but is necessary. IF anyone has any experience with this line I would appreciate any input, as my Rep is no help.

We are also using 923-450 & 923-550 clears. I am having a hard time with these too. I am used to DC 5300 & 5600 clears and have had no issues. I feel like I cant get these clears dialed in. I cleared 3 jobs today with 550 clear, two I baked @ 140 for 15 min, and one I let air dry. One job I baked hazed out REALLY bad, and the other turned out fine. I didn’t have these issues with the Diamont clears, any info here would be much appreciated too.

I have been a long time Iwata fan, I plan on purchasing 2 LS400 supernovas. One for water, and another for clear, anyone using these all around?

I’m spraying RM Onyx which is basically the same thing. This is how I spray it if its of any help: (theres a few other vids on my channel with water…I know this one i screwed up the editing and it repeats the blend)

Never really used the clears you’ve mentioned. My absolute favorite clear is 923-109 (pre-flexed), the most popular one and I know a few guys here have really liked is 923-255. I’ve sprayed all the RM clears and I’d take 109 over them all. The 5300 was nice but extremely expensive, DC5335 is pretty nice too…Prefer the new production clear (think its DC5120) to the 5600.
