Hey Guys I just did a right rear hit on a 2008 Hyundai Accent. Replaced the rear rail, trunk pan, rear panel, bumper assy, inner quarterpanel, and quarterpanel skin. State farm had us use a recycled quarterpanel and the skin was glued onto the inner quarter around the wheelwell. Since I had to replace the inner qtr I had to first take the skin off the recycled qtr. So my problem was removing the skin without really damaging it where it was glued on. I did alright but it probably cost me an extra 3 hours to bondo up the minor damage that came from trying to get it off where it was glued.
Is there an easy way to break that bond that the glue creates without causing major damage to the flimsy outer panel? :huh:March 29, 2010 at 3:41 pm #20444Heat. Use a heat gun or Inductor. Or next time make them buy you a new Quarter if not make them pay you for the extra time
