Lately I have been finding the quality of the GM replacement sheet metal poor. I find that along the edges and crimps to be much wavier than it should be. We are wasting a lot of time sending hoods back in hopes to get a better one. Has anyone else noticed this or am I looking to hard.

I was working at a GM dealer. The quality of the majority of their parts has declined significantly. The biggest issue we had was the chrome front bumpers on the trucks. About 2 in 3 were defective, often starting to rust right out of the box…which sucked since we were often replacing the bumpers under warranty for rust.

I here ya Ben, there was a bad run on truck bumpers for a while there. The chrome now compared to the old days is a real joke.
