I used to use it like that with the DC5100 with Diamont, i like that method too. Will likely do it with the onyx too. Can cut down on booth time I find, 5 minutes and toss the part in the corner of the shop. Depends on the shop but it can work well for some.
AnonymousApril 15, 2010 at 5:15 am #20695ya, the DP31 and I also use the 285-38/49 glasso sealers..they say direct to ecoat but for the time it takes i run a da over it first anyhow. The clears we typically use would be 923-109 (preflexed) or DC5335. I haven’t tried the DC5800 but we do some testing at our shop for BASF and they dropped an experimental version of DC5800 preflexed I will eventually get around to trying.
