Hi guys, i’m from Russia, the name’s Roman and i help my elder brother to paint cars. We also do body repairs. Our experience now is over 7 years or even higher.
I was interested in how do people refinish cars in other countries ind how much people are ready to pay for their car being refinished, and i found this site and i’m really happy because the community is so huge and i believe i can share my onw experience here and learn something new. I watched some videos here by jimmo and noticed that our technics are pretty much the same, but not in some ways. i’ll tell later in what ways.i have plenty experience to share, and i think i’ll make a before/after topic with pictures and descriptions. but i dont quite understand where to post it, in the refinishing forum or in the auto body repair forum, because almost all our work includes both refinishing and repair. So anybody advice please.
so, right now we’re working on toyota mark II, Santa Fe and mitsubishi galant.
galant has cracked bumpers and shows paint loss from previous bad refinish and the fender is damaged by some crazy dog who attacked it severely and left teeth dents in it.:welc
A dog bit that fender?? wow :blink: . If it were me id toss those covers. just sayin…
Welcome to the site. I’m from Alberta, Canada (there are many Canadian and Americans on the site, as well as a handful from the UK. And then there is Dag who is from the Congo). I look forward to seeing pictures of your work and seeing how you do things in Russia.
