Ive been lurking on here for a few weeks now and wanted to say hi and also ask for some career advice. I live in a smalish city (80,000 ish). I’m 28, had a sweet painting gig at the dealership and lost it when a big company came in and bought it and changed lots of management and staffing. Since then I just havent been able to get back into a good job like that. I’m currently painting for 16 bucks an hour for a guy that is just so so so mean. I know lots of bosses are mean but he is hurtful at times. I’m thinking about moving to portland or seattle to try and get into a more busy economy and get back to making good money. I worked at the same place for 8 years and just dont have many industry connections. Seems like everybody knows everybody exept me hahaha. Back to the point of the question, Any advice on were to start? If moving is even a good idea? ANY feedback is apreciated. Nice to meet you all!:)
