HOK dry pearls & waterborn intercoat

HOK recommends always to overreduce the intercoat where the dry pearls are mixed in. But this recommendation is for solvent intercoats. I will use a waterborn transparant basecoat as a karrier for the dry pearls. This basecoat normally requires 30% reducer (water).
Should i add more water?
