Hey Guys,
A view of the whole setup
Thanks for all the help.
This is the picture I’m talking about. When that 90 comes out of the box and goes to the compressor – it needs to be attached to the stud by our electrical codes. This would prevent the wire from being pulled out should something bad happen. In my setup – I just wired in a plug to handle my compressor, instead of hard wiring it to the line power. By the way, I’ve got my compressor sitting on a set of hockey pucks with anchors into the concrete floor. Don’t tighten them down much as things need to move – the pucks isolate the vibration.

last time I used chunks of tire. and currently I have my comp sitting on it’s shipping pallet…. just like you’re not supposed to do.
regarding the wiring, my dad is an electrician, and I’m a low voltage wireman. I don’t have a disconnect at the compressor. I do at my table saw, but apparently the compressor didn’t need one according to the NEC code. The MC cable (flex) going to the wall has to be within a certain distance to meet code, or it will need to be strapped to the stud. we mounted the box for power up higher, so a 2′ chunk of flex just came straight out to the compressor’s switch.
romex is not rated for a commercial environment, nothing to do with current capacity. My shop doesn’t even have romex in the walls. all conduit or flex.

Update on the slow coming paint area in the garage.
Intake air
The two box fans for intake air
Exhaust fans, didn’t put the door down on them, it’s cold, haha
See, that’s the temperature without the heat on right now.
Just the door to the paint area, most of the plastic is up, dry wall coming later. Pretty good light in the paint area.
…actually, I think I’m going to put my Jon boat in it and test pretty soon as I have been thinking about painting it. I’m going to put a coat of Epoxy paint on the concrete floor first though (that will actually cause one test with the booth totally open and no vehicle). Thanks for all the input guys, I appreciate it.
