Hi all!

I have a hood with a lot of stone chip on. May be i’ll sand all the hood for fixe that. Is it enough use 2K Urethane primer or Epoxy Primer? Need a sealer too? I use Nason Dupont (421-19) product. In doc:
No sealer is required but may be sealed with
Nason® SelectSeal™ 422-48 or any other 2k
Nason® Sealer.
thanks

Epoxy > 2K Urethane primer > Sealer > Base > Clear

if it were me, I would strip the hood (with a chemical stripper, such as Tal-Strp) down to the bare metal. Quickly sand the hood with 180-320 with a DA sander. If there are no dents, then I would put it straight into the booth.

Then etch it or use DTM Epoxy primer, then your 2k urethane sealer…base/clear. All wet on wet.

Depending on what it is, sometimes, it’s just better to replace it with an aftermarket one
like i should have on this Camry. :wak
