This is just a little trick my old man showed me a few years ago and thought I’d post a pic for the fellas that haven’t seen it. It’s for removing the little horse shoe clip that holds in an interior window handle. There are tools out there for it but it usually only takes a few seconds this way:

Just wedge a rag in between the handle and door pad, swirl it around lifting upwards and it will catch the clip and pop it up. Keep your hand over it so the clip doesn’t fly away on ya.

I guess this is more for the hobby guys who may not have all the tools, then again I still haven’t bought one yet. I’ve used other guys in the past found the tools to be hit and miss, some didn’t work well at all.

That’s a neat trick! I’ll have to remember that one.

I’m with you on the tools being hit or miss.

Totally agree. There are many tools we dont have, but we still get the job done!

Next one we get in with a manual crank like that, Im giving it a shot.
