I don’t think the LPH does a great job with HS clears. I think the W-400 does a much better job. not all clears they call high solids really are. PPG has a clear that is considered HS and is 40% solids. The LPH does a good job with these. I can spray them around 20 psi and get good results.

With a HS like Spies 8035, 8600, or Sikkens Superior 250 I don’t think the LPH does that well. The W-400 or a Sata RP do better with these.

:S Forgot he only does small things. Either way it is a very good all around gun.

I bump mine up to 25-28 psi for cheap limco clears, 20-25 for HOK UC-35 and BASF clears. The BASF and HOK clears lay down much, much better for me. Especially the UC-35.

Right now I am struggling with runs in the clear. I need to either open my fan a bit mor, turn in my fluid control knob or lower my pressure, but I am 20psi

Increase your pressure to around 30 and you will do a lot better. I have a 300 and tried shooting at 20 and got more runs then ever. Up it and you will be happy.

its weird, because you think the lower the pressure, the less runs, the high the more but I am going to give ti a try! thanks!

The lower the pressure the less your paint is atomized so you are dumping a lot more product on. Now if you sped up your movements you could be ok. I like the higher pressure personally. I have spoken with several people that like the higher pressures on those guns. Then you see people that like the lower pressures. To each his own. Try the higher psi. I actually like it around 35.

Kinda late but…you might wanna consider the LPH 80 1.2 minigun.
It’s perfect for those small jobs.

its all good Han, the whole reason why I am doing the small thing is to get good for the big things, so in that case I will have the gun!

I have an 80 that I never use. I do really like the SRIw from Devilbiss. It has a 1.2 tip and sprays well. I did a fender and door today with it. I would like to get the new SRIpro. It might be too small to do more than 2 panels.

I used my LPH80 for one job only. Just keeping it clean.

And it’s time for a few new guns. I’ve been a good boy.
