Welcome! Where are you from? I think it is hard to be a painter, then it makes it that much harder to be mobile, being really interests me! What is your setup, and do you go to homes and business? Does must of your work consist of solvent blends.

Throw some pictures up of your work! and once again welcome!

We’ve been considering/trying to open our own shop for about 4 years (and finally succeeded) and had considered going mobile. the dark side? lol. I had thought it sounded like fun. how do you controll your environment? I mean I’ve got a heated insulated booth, a complete mixing system, and a nice air dryer and filters, and still I have occasional issues like dirt, and contamination…

I worked out of the back of a van for several years so I understand the special requirements asked of you in that situation. One too many cold winters brought me back inside to the warmth and comfort of a spray booth though 😆

Chipping the ice off the top of your flatting bucket and having melting snow running down the car as you paint stopped being funny after a while… :deadhorse My current job is much less fun and not as varied. Doesn’t pay quite so well either, but it’s much better for my ageing bones 😆

haha snow running down, thats what I’d call a hard to controll environment

Yep, it’s a hard life out on the road 😆

We did have canopies that extended outwards from the sides of our vans, but the wind would just blow the rain under them anyway so they were less than useless.

I do make very good money doing the mobile thing. I do have a Fast Shelter inflatable booth 25ft x 16ft and double filtration.EPA regulations are making it harder and harder.
