http://www.asetusa.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=162September 2, 2011 at 10:40 pm #32726wouls u consider the w400 lv2 a good gun for clear? does it require much air and does it layer the clear nice and flat? would you recommend a 1.3 or 1.4 tip? cheers
w400 is old model before w400lv (compliant gun)..the different is air cap and nozzle. if u want to convert w400 to w400lv just change lv4 aircap and change the nozzle. the famous iwata’s clear coat gun is w400/w400lv. w400lv inlet pressure is 20psi..so can less overspray and save your paint. w400 inlet pressure is 29psi. if you have more budject i recommend w400lv..if not u can go with w400. dont worry because u can convert your w400 to w400lv..just change air cap and nozzle. my suggestion is 1.4 tip for clear coat. myself also using w400 with no problem..atomizing very fine..im loving it
