    Hi everyone.

Mick here from England UK. I’m pretty much a beginner & hope I can gain lots of knowledge from the wealth of information on here. Currently renovating a motorcycle & ran across this problem with the lacquer on the finished petrol tank. This was a “bubble ” in the lacquer once it had dried, about 3mm in diameter. How do I get rid of this ?. Can I sand it out & re-lacquer just this one area? or will I have to do the whole tank.

    Thanks in advance

    Mick

Hey I’ve only seen this a couple of times and I have been told that its due to trapped air under the tape, caused by not pushing the tape down hard enough before painting. How many coats of clear did you put on. I have flat a d polished one out before with 2000. 🙂

    Hi Rikka

Thanks for your reply which makes sense. The pinstriping has bubbled slightly in a few more areas.

Nice RC8 by the way. I have an RC8R 2011. Awesome machines !!!
