PPG has a complete listing for all motorcycle manufacturers on their paint systems. What is color pro?

I found PPG to have a better library for motorcycles than any other paint company.

I would either phone the help line and see what they say…or phone PPG for this one.

the ppg code is 911264. if color pro has an option for looking up competitor codes try that. if not, it’s a solid red. should be able to find a chip in the deck that matches pretty close

You can either look at your color map book to match it up or phone the color lab in atlanta and they will send you a formula,or buy some ppg.

Mo, call the akzo tech line (or have your jobber call) and give them the code and get an akzo code for them or a colormap number. If you get an akzo number look it up on line with their mixit online. http://www.qnetonline.nl/SIKNA/SearchForm/Manufacturer After you find it, click “documentation” out to the right and it will pop up the colormap number.

Or you could get them to just give you a colormap number and then look it up through colorpro. The colormap numbers are the same ones in sikkens.

That is the thing about wanda, if they list the code in sikkens (and not in wanda) you can pull it up via the sikkens colormap code. I do this all the time for the old car colors as the wanda database doesn’t hold a lot of them in the program. I just pull them up through sikkens and get the colormap code and then pull it up in colorpro.

They are the same books in Sikkens, Lesonal and Wanda (not sure about utech).

FYI, Sikkens has motorcycle chip books. You just have to know the right people.

I personally would not trust a colormap chip to cross to a motor color. Ballpark yes, match not so much.

Like Jeremy said, call ATL. 1-800-618-1010

I just checked color pro at the shop and they do have kawasaki colors. Listed under “kawasaki motor” same with honda under “honda motor”.

Whether or not they have that color I don’t know…theres about 6 reds that pull up. They don’t have as many codes listed as sikkens.
